I graduated from Turkey Valley High School and earned my BA in Physical Education with a minor in Health Education from the University of Northern Iowa. I earned my Master's Degree in Sports Administration through Upper Iowa University. The start of the 2022-2023 school year will be my 10th year in education, including my 6th year at Hudson.

I live in Cedar Falls with my wife, Lindsey, and our 2 sons, Thomas (6) who is a 1^st Grader at Hudson, and Charlie (2). Lindsey is the Assistant Dean of Students at Wartburg College where she also teaches a course.

In addition to my teaching duties, I am the Head Boys Basketball Coach. With teaching, coaching, and 2 young kids, I don't get a ton of free time. But, when I do, I like to play cards, cheer on the Cubs and Cyclones, and hangout with family and friends.
