Friday Board Bulletin

Board Members:

Happy New Year! I hope the holidays treated you all well and you were able to enjoy quality time with family and friends! It was certainly a welcomed break!

It has been a very busy week, thus the reason for my tardiness in getting this bulletin out to you. A glance at the calendar suggests there will be a lot of heavy lifting for us all over the course of the next 3 months. We'll be tackling such issues as negotiations, budget, construction, and a bond sale at some point this spring. We'll be busy for sure and while the work before us will be challenging, you can be assured that it will be well worth it in the end.

This week was largely consumed with meetings (long meetings nonetheless) that moved the ball significantly forward, particularly with our work on the high school renovation. We still have a lot of details to work out as the project budget is firmed up and we begin to coordinate schedules, but there is real progress being made. We spent the bulk of yesterday morning working with the AEA on a complete overhaul of our TAG program and I am pleased with the progress here. My charge to the team is to have a final recommendation ready for review by the first part of March. After our meeting yesterday I am very optimistic!

That is all for now. Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Dr. Tony Voss
