Friday Board Bulletin 10/31/2019

Board Members:

Happy Thursday. As I mentioned last week, there won't be a bulletin tomorrow since I am going to be on vacation. Ann and I will return next Friday, so there won't be a bulletin then either. Sorry, I know how you look forward to these little gems! Our big event of the week was parent teacher conferences on Monday and Tuesday. We don't have our attendance data yet, but will be sure to pass it along once we have everything finalized.

Yesterday was 'grandfriends' day in the elementary. We had a great turnout, with somewhere in the vicinity of 100 extra guests for lunch! Kudos to our hot lunch staff for putting on a great program and getting everyone fed.

Today Chad and I are in Cedar Rapids attending our annual budget forecasting meeting. I look forward to the release of the new software package every year. If it hadn't been for that I may have skipped it. The roads were horrible this morning and we actually had to detour around part of I380! There were a handful of schools down here who actually delayed classes today!

Tonight our volleyball team will be playing in the regional semi-finals here at home, playing host to Iowa City Regina. The game starts at 7:00 if you can make it out! Then Saturday if you are interested, the girls cross country team will be at the state cross country meet. Sam Hansen also qualified on the boys side, so it should be an exciting opportunity for our athletes.

I would be remiss if we didn't offer a huge congratulations to Alex Reynolds who was selected to the Iowa All-State Chorus last Saturday! This is a huge achievement for him and our entire music department!

Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing you soon!
