Friday Board Bulletin 10/16/2020

Posted Date: 10/16/2020

Board Members:

Multiple Zoom meetings have been the main theme of my week, and while good to connect with my colleagues and other folks remotely, it does lead a bit to Zoom fatigue! Since the close contact definition has changed with regard to quarantine, it has been interesting to see school districts that previously had maskrecommendations change them to mask requirements. I anticipate even more changes in the weeks to come.

It has also been a busy week with regard to statewide reporting, which is the norm for this time of year. The biggest report of the week being due for certification obviously being enrollment, of which is included in your board packet. As I indicate in the annotation, we are down this year when we expected to be up, but attribute this mostly to COVID. This seems to be a common theme across the nation this fall. I included a link in your board meeting material that examines this in greater detail in case you are interested.

That pretty much sums up the week. I look forward to seeing you at our meeting on Monday evening at 6:00. The agenda is relatively light, although we do have some important matters to discuss and decisions to be made. Here is our weekly COVID update, and I hope you have an outstanding weekend!
