Friday Board Bulletin 2/19/2021

Posted Date: 02/19/2021

Board Members:

Thank you for your hard work at our meeting on Wednesday evening. While the majority of our work this month was routine, it is critically important nonetheless. At the writing of this memo, we already have 16 applicants for our elementary teaching position, and the job was only posted yesterday!

Unfortunately both our girls and boys basketball seasons came to a close this week. However, both teams played outstanding games and can certainly hang their heads high! Wrestling will continue through the weekend with both of our wrestlers winning both of their first two matches. Good luck to them as they continue their quest for a title!

The only topic I'll bring up with regard to the legislature that is of critical importance to us right now is the passage of the SSA bill of 2.4%. The bill has been sent to the governor for her signature and I suspect it will be signed. Based on this information, I have completed the FY 2022 school budget and am preparing it for publication around the first of March.

Have a great weekend. Looks like another snow storm is in the forecast for Sunday!

Dr. Tony Voss, Superintendent
