Friday Board Bulletin 6/11/2021

Posted Date: 06/11/2021

Board Members:

I hope you are all well and staying cool! It seems a little out of the ordinary to be experiencing such oppressive heat so early in the summer!

It has been a busy and productive week! On Monday we began summer school and have had really good attendance so far. In addition to that, we have been serving about 120+ lunches daily. Our administrators and I have also been busy completing end of year reports for the Department and yesterday we spent a good chunk of the day on student handbook revisions. Wednesday marked another milestone as I returned to in person Chamber meetings for first time since March 11, 2020!

As you take a look at the board agenda for next week, please take special note that item 5.7 has not yet been populated. We are continuing to receive applications for open enrollment and likely won't upload that file until Wednesday afternoon. We want to be as accurate and current as possible while at the same time avoiding.

drive in movie night at the softball field

The photo I am sharing today is from the 'drive in' movie night at the softball field last night. Originally designed as a team building exercise during COVID last summer when social distancing prevented any close contact, it is back this summer in what is probably going to be an annual event. And by the way, our softball team is on fire so far this season with only 2 losses. They are fun and exciting to watch, I hope you can find time to catch a game.

Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. for our meeting.

Dr. Tony Voss, Superintendent
