Maddie Sinnott

HS Science Teacher

I'm Maddie Sinnott. I'm originally from Muscatine, IA. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in December 2015. My major is in Biology Education, with a minor in Chemistry Teaching and endorsements in Basic Science and All Science. Since graduating, I worked at West Burlington ISD (1 semester), and at Coon Rapids-Bayard CSD (2 years). I have taught: 6th grade earth science, 7th grade science, 7th grade STEM exploratory, 8th grade STEM exploratory, physical science, chemistry, physics, environmental science, and anatomy & physiology. Here at Hudson I will be teaching biology, advanced biology, chemistry, and physics.

My husband and I got married in October 2017. He is the head of GIS in Buchanan County. We have a black cat named TK, two dogs, and a hedgehog. My older dog, Hiro, is a spunky Japanese Chin. He thinks he can get away with things because he is small. My younger dog, Koda, is a German Shepherd-Lab mix. He is attached at my hip and quite the playful puppy even though he is about 3 years old.

I love to do many things outdoors: walk my dogs, hike, kayak, paddle board, swim, rock climb, garden, bike. I also enjoy reading and crafting. I love to spend time with my family and friends. I love to cook, and consider myself a chef-in-training. I also love photography.
