Board Members:

I hope you all had a great week! It sure looks like the weather is starting to become more fall-like! Our focus for the week was preparation for our board meeting next week, and working on state-wide reporting. The enrollment was certified this week, and as anticipated our numbers are up substantially. The enrollment report is included in your board packet, and here is my blog post for this week that discusses enrollment. 

I'll remind you that we have an aggressive board meeting agenda for Wednesday evening that includes a couple of disciplinary hearings. Our meeting starts at 5:00 p.m. and the hearings begin at 6:00 p.m. If you have taken a look at the agenda, hopefully you'll agree the action items are either relatively routine or items that have been under discussion the last couple of months. While we'll also have Kate Wyatt address the board in advance of the November meeting, I do not anticipate the regular meeting taking all that long. From my perspective, I'll need the most help with item 6.1c 'retirement incentive'. Because I can't anticipate how long we'll be, I've asked OPAA! to prepare a meal for you. My plan is to have that meal ready for you by 5:30. If you have a conflict with the meeting, please let me know ASAP.
