Friday Board Bulletin 6/2/2023

Board Members:

I appreciate your quick work on Wednesday night. Now that the sale of the bonds is final, we anticipate we'll receive the funds by June 15. That's great news since construction/demolition is underway. This week, most of the ceilings have been removed in the west hallway and the carpet has been/is being removed. In the shop, the focus this week has been on salvage. We are keeping the furnaces, heaters, and air conditioners to re-purpose for the new bus barn once we are ready to move on that project. The schedule seems to suggest we'll start seeing that building come down next week, but if I've learned anything over the years of doing construction projects: flexibility is critical. All stated, things are going well so far. 

Our time together was short on Wednesday, so I didn't have an opportunity to give a shout out to the girls soccer team for an outstanding season! Earning the school's first berth to the state tournament was quite an accomplishment, and our team played a great match! Although we came up a bit short, they certainly can hold their heads high and made us all very proud!

Home double headers tonight if you are interested. It'll be warm, but that is kind of expected in June, right? Have a great weekend!
