Happy Saturday morning! Sorry I didn't get this to you earlier, I took a vacation day and Ann and I got out of the house for awhile! She has been feeling pretty good lately so it was an opportunity we just couldn't pass up! 

It was a very busy week in the district, and if you happened to drive by the high school you noticed that our project has really started to take off this week. By the time we got home last night, they had about half the shop demolished. Work on Wood Street really picked up as well! It is going to be so nice when finished! I'll be sure to include a couple of pictures next week since some of our readers are emeritus members now scattered across the country. I think you'll be shocked at the changes occurring in the district!

I learned yesterday that our Welcome to Hudson branding video earned an award of excellence from the National School Public Relations Association! Congratulations to Jerry Gallagher and the Donovan Group for their work on this project. I met with Jerry on Thursday morning to start game planning for this next school year and we have begun planning for the next video shoot, which is scheduled for this fall. 

I would like to draw your attention to the board agenda for Wednesday night. You'll note items 7.6 and 7.7 do not yet have exhibits attached. That is because we just finished our construction meeting on Thursday afternoon and made some final decisions regarding the value engineering options we are preparing to recommend to the board. Those change orders are being prepared and should be in place sometime on Tuesday afternoon. If you have any questions in the interim, please don't hesitate to reach out.
