Friday Board Bulletin 7/13/2023

Board Members:

I hope you are well and had a good week! We got some much needed rain, but according to my rain gauge it wasn't nearly enough! This week we released the registration material and sent out our annual summer mailing. That means registration is now underway and we have marked an important milestone on our way to starting the 2023-2024 school year. 

Construction continues, albeit at a pace that I wish were quite a bit faster. It seems as though every time I go to the high school to check on the progress there is one more thing I learn that I am not all that happy about. I'm sure it's not that quite that bad, but it sure feels like it! I've done enough construction projects at this point to learn the best outlook is to assume we will be perpetually behind schedule and delays are just a part of the process. All things considered though, we are making progress!

We have quite a lot on our agenda for the meeting on Wednesday. Nothing that I anticipate will be troublesome, but we just have a lot of ground to cover. There are a number of policy revisions that are up for first review as a result of recent legislative changes. I will need to spend a bit of time briefing you on these changes. 

That really is about all for now. I'm off today for a three day weekend. Ann's immunity is at a good level so we are going to get away this weekend before she starts her next round of chemo on Monday. Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday!
