Monday Morning Memo 8/4/2023

Happy Friday! I hope you all are doing well and looking forward to a relaxing weekend. It seems as though whenever the calendar page turns from July to August the pace in our office picks up. That certainly happened this week! With the return of our principals on Tuesday, the pace of traffic in and out of our office with school registration also picked up some steam. I am certain the two are not necessarily related though! 

Wednesday and Thursday found us at the annual school administrators conference which is always a good learning opportunity as well as a chance to network with other school administrators. This was especially important for Mrs. Betts as she begins her first year as principal here!

This afternoon then we had our first full cabinet meeting of the academic year and I was pleased that we were able to keep it pretty close to an hour. I'll follow up with the senior leadership team on Monday afternoon, we have a lot of ground to cover before the arrival of our new staff on Friday.

Construction is moving along, and there has been quite a bit accomplished this week. The geopiers have been finished, most of the jack hammering is done (at least for now), window installation is well underway, and we believe that will be finished by the end of the day on Monday.
