Board Members:

I hope you all had a very nice week! We have had some very pleasant weather after enduring a heat to start the year. I am also happy to report that our air conditioning system at the high school has not yet been removed. We do think sometime within the next week or so it will need to be taken out. A footing for the new addition goes right through the cooling tower pit. Hopefully we'll be completely through the hot weather before needing to make that adjustment. 

I am still working to find answers to our high watering bills at the athletic complex over the summer. To that end, I have requested HHPH to install an irrigation meter on the pavilion to measure and confirm the city meter output. At the same time, I am looking for quotes to irrigate both the baseball and softball field. There is no mistaking the fact that an irrigation system at those athletic fields will reduce water consumption and be more efficient. 

This week in my blog, I discussed my 'Three Goals for the First Day of School' and how they almost came unraveled this year. I think it is a good story, and one that most people wouldn't otherwise know about!
